How does the app handle student data?

VASCO Assistant runs as a standalone desktop application on your own workstation, and student data stays there in a local database inside your user profile. There is no cloud backend for certification work, no shared tenant, and student records are not sent anywhere as part of your workflows.

• Runs on current Windows and macOS releases.
• Core calculations and record entry work with no network connection.
• An optional update check can fetch version info and public rate tables. It sends no student data and can be turned off.
• Runs as the logged-in user, with no elevated privileges or system services.
• No SSO integration, firewall changes, or cloud tenant to provision.
